France's Telegram ad market — crypto, regulated sports betting and fintech in April 2026

France runs one of Europe's most-regulated Telegram ad ecosystems. Unlike Turkey (grey-market gambling) or Brazil (aggressive bonus funnels), French advertisers work inside three compliance regimes simultaneously: ANJ for betting, AMF for investments, ACPR for banking. After six weeks of indexing public broadcast channels with 1 000+ subscribers, here is the April 2026 breakdown.

Scope of the indexing#

What's unique about the French format#

1. Selective bilingualism. Crypto creatives mix French and English for technical terms (staking, DeFi, APY) — readers accept the anglicism in financial context. Mass-market creatives (banking, retail) stay pure French.
2. ANJ-compliance visible. Every betting creative shows the 18+ badge + the ANJ licence number + the gambling-help phone line. Non-compliant creatives are pulled by Telegram moderation.
3. PSAN-licensed crypto mark. Coinhouse, Binance FR, Paymium — all PSAN-registered — include the registration number in the creative footer. Unregistered exchanges are excluded from French Telegram Ads.
4. CTA-to-bot balanced with CTA-to-web. 31% bot, 69% web — the bot share is lower than Italy (47%) because French regulation generally requires a full web-page disclosure for financial offers.

Cross-border patterns#

• Binance FR and Bitpanda FR run the same campaign base across FR, BE, LU — French-language CTAs with geo-specific landing pages.
